We make small, focused apps for the Mac. Framit is one of them — a screenshot tool built around what you do right after the capture.

What Framit does

After every capture, a small card offers copy, copy text, mark up, pin and reveal in Finder — one hover away, no folder to dig through.
Scrolling capture and screen recording
Scroll and Framit stitches pages taller than your screen into one image. Record to MP4 or GIF, with optional system audio and microphone, and click ripples that make silent recordings readable.
Text straight out of an image
On-device text recognition lets you select the words in any capture and copy them — including text a web page will not let you select. Nothing is uploaded.
Pin it above every window
Images, text, files, PDFs and links float on top while you work from them, and ⌃H tucks them all away when you need the screen back.

What we care about

Apps that do one job well and feel at home on macOS: quick to summon, quiet once you are done, and respectful of the shortcuts and conventions you already know.

Your data stays yours

Framit has no account, no analytics and no telemetry. Captures are saved to a folder on your Mac and never uploaded, and text recognition runs entirely on the device. The edition from this website only goes online to check for updates; the Mac App Store edition does not go online at all.
